Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born June 15 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from musicians and music blogs as well as from the press. She has previously made two covers that have been viewed by the world's media: Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the hit song Runaway through her music, gave it some more recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was locating a keyboard in her loft, and becoming captivated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get work or as an interest, but to develop. So she started making her own lyrics. Her inspirations include famous artists Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. When she was told by her mother that her songs can not only help her gain fame, but also make other people realize their significance within the global community and see how they can benefit from the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. She started playing piano when she was six years old and began to write music at the age of nine. Her family didn't know about it until she reached fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. The singer claims that she is a fan of creating songs. She says that music is her preferred method of feeling something.
